B Rose 2012


The B rosé 2012

This is the first rosé ever produced by the Domaine.

It is made from a combination of our most typical provençal grapes, and the end result is a light, pale, elegant rosé, fresh and tangy. Perfect to celebrate the start of summer 2013.



- Appellation : Coteaux d’Aix en Provence

- Vineyard surface : 28 acres

- Average vine age : 25 years

- Soil: clay - chalk

- Grapes: Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault

- Viticulture : Organic agriculture, certified by Ecocert. No chemical fertilisers, no weed-killers, fresh compost every year. Vines cut short, buds clipped twice, green harvesting applied to certain portions of the vineyard.

- Grape-picking : Exclusively by hand. Selection at the foot of the vine, then taken to the cellar in special trays.

- Vinification : Selection of grapes made by type. Vatted by gravity after de-stemming and pressing. Sequential pressing after pellicular maceration. Separation of free-run juice from pressed juice. Racking by temperature and yeasting. Alcoholic fermentation at cold temperature (15-16°C) Choice of grape mixes after tasting.

- Storage : 6 months in stainless steel vats.

- Number of bottles : 18 000 Bottled at the Domaine after the reduction of excessive protein by bentonite.

- Harvest dates : 21st September to 15th October 2012

- Yield : 50 HL/ hectare (4.000 UK gallons per acre)

- Total SO2 : 90 mg/l.

- Alcohol content : 13 % Tasting notes

- Colour : a clear pale pink with a touch of litchi

- Smell : an aroma of grapefruit and other citrus fruits, added to a mineral note.

- Taste : fresh and lively, with a tangy lingering taste.

- To be served : between 10°C and 12°C (48°-52°F)



- Ideal with most summer dishes, especially grilled fish, but also good with cold Corsican meats.

Available in cartons of 6 or 12

7.90 € the bottle / 15 € the magnum.
